In the first episode of Looks Good From Here, we introduce the podcast, explain why we decided to start it, and talk through what listeners can expect going forward.

Brad comes from the repair and remodel side of the industry, dealing with what happens after things break, fail, or get “fixed” the wrong way. Michael comes from the new-construction side, with experience building high-end homes and a deep understanding of how houses are supposed to be put together. In this episode, we talk about how those different backgrounds shape the way we look at houses — and why that contrast works.

We also talk about the direction of the show, plans to bring on guests from the industry and adjacent fields, and how we want this podcast to be informative without turning into performative outrage or scare tactics.
